Rainbow.org is a privately owned website that contains member-based information, advice, and details about the Masonic-based youth group for young ladies that is known as The International Order of Rainbow for Girls.
The official website for this organization, which Supreme Assembly is in charge of, is located at IORG.org.
Unfortunately, as a rainbow has many different colors, the word "Rainbow" has many different uses, and is used for so many things in today's international society, which have nothing to do with our wonderful Order. This website seems to be regularly mistaken for other organizations, groups and networks. In an attempt to help clear up the confusion (and my in-box!) I have provided the following information and links below.
This site is not the Rainbows organization, which is a non-profit, international organization that helps to establish peer support groups, for children and adults of all ages and religious denominations who are grieving a death, divorce or any other painful transition in their family.
Rainbow.org is not the site for Over the Rainbow, a not-for-profit charity which provides numerous services and assistance programs for families who have recently experienced the tragic and sudden death of an immediate family member.
This website has no involvement with Operation Rainbow, a non-profit organization which raises funds from individuals, corporations and foundations to provide free reconstructive and orthopedic surgery for children in medically underserved countries and throughout the United States.
Rainbow.org has no affiliation with Rev. Jesse Jackson, or the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, a progressive organization fighting for social change.
This website is in no way associated with The Rainbow Family of Living Light, or any of their gatherings.
This is not a Gay, Lesbian, Transgender or similar style of site. I'm providing a link to The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
This site has no information on female genital mutilation. The proper website for information about this topic is the Research Action Information Network for Bodily Integrity of Women, an international non-profit organization working on issues within the intersection between health and human rights of women, with the ultimate goal of promoting and protecting the rights of women and girls.
