Quite a few people come to Rainbow.org while searching for Rainbow-related items to purchase. As a courtesy, I am providing links to places that sell items that might be of interest to those involved with Rainbow. Jewelry, paraphernalia, books, decorations, gifts, fundraising supplies, and more. Hopefully this will help you find what you are looking for.
Places where I have purchased or received items from within the last two years will be marked with a check mark like this -
- after their name.
A section towards the bottom of this page is for websites I have "affiliated" with, meaning I get a few pennies from every dollar purchased by someone who visited that site from mine. (This is intended to help defray the costs of running Rainbow.org, and is not for my personal gain.) I will only add sites that I feel are in some way useful to those involved with Rainbow; be it fundraising supplies, decorations, stationery, or other such items, and I won't link to them unless I have checked the site out, purchased things from them, and find them to be satisfactory.

Rainbow Beanie Bears added on 07-11-02
NEWS: I have heard that, after this year's Supreme Assembly, Stange will no longer be Supreme Assembly's authorized jeweler. Why, I don't know. They've been the authorized jeweler for 80 years.Supreme Assembly - (800)843-4674
Supreme has a free 16-page catalog available with many items for sale - call and ask for one to be mailed to you. A few things (paperwork, Assembly room items) can only be ordered by Mother Advisors, but many items can be purchased by anyone, provided they have a credit card. There are crowns, crown cases, gavels, term books, replacement Grand Cross ribbons (the ones with the snaps), notebooks, stationery, and much more. There is a 75th anniversary book (like a yearbook) called "Our Place in Time", with a history of Rainbow and many interesting photos, writings, etc. It's $40, be warned, but it's worth it if you're interested in the history of our Order. It would be neat if every Assembly had a copy (possible gift from a Grand Officer or outgoing W.A. to the Assembly, perhaps?).
Lindeburg & Company - (800)243-6253
Lindeburg's is located in California. They make the most amazing lucite gavels and sounding blocks, in many different colors and shapes. They also have many different items of jewelry, Term books, stationery, gift items, and too much other stuff to mention. Go visit their website, or call and order a free catalog so you can look at it whenever you want. Or, if you ever come to California's Grand Assembly, they have a GIGANTIC setup in the vendor area.
Embroidery in Motion - email
Terri Nicks/Embroidery in Motion was one of the vendors at California Grand Assembly 2002. They have t-shirts, sweatshirts, baseball caps, totebags, and numerous other items in their catalog... all of which can be embroidered with the Rainbow (or any other) emblem, a mascot or other image, your name & title, and lots more. They also do special orders (custom emblems, other items, etc.) The finished products are beautiful! I purchased a tote bag with a custom emblem (for the IORG-list) and it turned out beautiful. Please email Terri and ask for more information about her products and prices... and please mention that you read about Embroidery in Motion on Rainbow.org!
Masonic Tapestries
If you're like me, you'll squeal with delight on seeing this website. Finally - CUTE Rainbow items! Masonic Tapestries has beautiful afghans, pillows, "door" pillows, a wall hanging, a computer monitor cover, and a small purse/tote bag with the Rainbow emblem on it. They also have Eastern Star items, Amaranth items (which are not shown on the site) and Mason/Shrine tapestries. Not all Rainbow items for sale are displayed on the site, but they do exist. Email that site's owner if you have any questions.
Annette's Fraternal Merchandise - Rainbow Beanie Bear page!
Another "squeal when you see this" alert! Annette Wintters has created these adorable Rainbow beanie bears for sale! The front of this white bear has "IORG" over the heart, in gold, a gold ribbon bow around its neck, and a rainbow-and-heart logo on its right foot. The back of the bear has the most beautifully embroidered Rainbow emblem I have ever seen. Annette has gotten official permission/approval from Supreme Assembly to create and sell these bears, and other Rainbow items, so feel confident in buying from her.
Star Promotions
This website has some neat things I've never seen anywhere else. A dry-erase message board with the Rainbow emblem on the top and the words "Rainbow Notes"; a glass Christmas ornament with the emblem; a glass candleholder (with candle) that has the Rainbow emblem on it; name badges in many different shapes/colors; jewelry and more. Check around their entire website to find things, as it's not as organized as it could be. They are quick to respond to questions you may have, and also make custom enamelled pins, if you're looking for such a thing.A note from the president of Star Promotions, Inc., dated 3/11/02:
"Thanks for mentioning our Company but I would like to let you know that all of the jewelry is our own and not purchased from Stange. We have been servicing Rainbow Assemblies since the 60's. My father was Rex Rasmussen who use to conduct statewide candy sales and other fund raisers with Rainbow on a nationwide basis. Over the years we have presented hundreds of thousands of dollars to Rainbow Grand Assemblies through fund raising programs. In fact, we actually held sales meeting at district levels all over the United States back in the 60's and early 70's. Sounds like you have a real interest in Rainbow just like I do as coming up the Rainbow ranks myself. I personally have attended every Supreme Assembly since 1960 except for one and our company has had a booth at Supreme each time. We have been supplying Rainbow Assemblies and Grand Assemblies with Rainbow Jewelry and other items since the 70's. We really specialize in custom made pins for GWA for their fund raising programs. "I personally received so much from Rainbow and only wish that more girls in todays age would take the time to find out what Rainbow really is and how it can really help you in life if you will only take the opportunity.
"Thanks again and if we can help with anything, just let me know. I am sure we will have a number of people that we know in common."

Embroidery Library, Inc. - Masonic section, Part One
These patterns, I believe, are for machines (home or business) that do embroidery. One page two of this first section, there are two BEAUTIFUL Rainbow emblems (one larger, one smaller) that would be great for items like jackets, t-shirts, and other items I haven't thought of. There are also two five-colored rainbows that end in a pot of gold, that are both very pretty. Masonic, York Rite, Shrine and DeMolay emblems are there, too! And check out the second section of Masonic emblems for OES, Job's, Scottish Rite, and other patterns.
Stange Co. - (800)432-3307
The Stange Company, of St. Louis, MO, states on their catalog that they have been the sole jewelry supplier to Supreme Assembly since 1922. They manufacture the Grand Crosses, and if you have any Rainbow jewelry with a fancy little calligraphy "S" in a square stamped on the back, then you have an item made by Stange. They make all the jewelry and other items that you can find in the Supreme catalog - from crowns to bracelets, rhinestone jewelry to pins. They also have hair scrunchies with the Rainbow emblem printed on the fabric, mousepads, and many other very CUTE items. My last phone call to them (03-02), I was told they no longer sell the items directly (tho they still made them!); that you had to order them from Supreme Assembly.
The following are links to fundraising sites that may be of interest to you. I have not dealt with some of these vendors, but bookmarked them to (hopefully) use in the future, once my former Assembly is restarted. If I have purchased an item from one (or have talked with someone who has used the vendor for their organization and felt positive about the experience), I will put a check mark after their name.
Current
Current had always been a best-seller for our Assembly. It was easy to sell the stationery, gift wrap, gifts and other goodies, and everything was delivered in a timely manner. Now they have the option of ordering stuff online, and selecting the group you're fundraising for! How cool is that? Beautiful products at affordable prices. I highly recommend them.
World's Finest Chocolate
World's Finest Chocolate has greatly improved in the last few years. The regular chocolate bars with nuts were boring, but the Mint Meltaways were so delicious... They have expanded their product line, and now also offer a catalog sales option, which has gift wrap, accessories, gift items and more, in addition to their chocolate items.
See's Candies, Inc.
See's Candies are some of the best. Their chocolate bars are delicious, and seem to be a favorite where I now live (yay!). They also have lollipops, gift assortments, and other options to choose from.
Walter's Publishing - Cookbooks.
After perusing this site, I was very excited about the thought of creating a cookbook. There are so many options you can choose to customize a cookbook -- it can be tempting to get carried away. Measuring chart, substitutions, crafts, household tips, custom art... they even have the option of adding advertisement/patron pages to the back (sell ad space to local merchants, get a Mason/Star/Amaranth to pay X-amount to be listed as a "supporter", etc). You can even advertise your cookbook on their website free for 90 days. Only downside -- minimum order appears to be 200 cookbooks. It may seem daunting if you don't have a decent-size Assembly (whose members have lots of relatives), plenty of other concordant bodies to sell to, or other places (fairs, yard sales, front of grocery stores, etc.) where you can set up a table and sell them.
Cookbook Publishers
Another cookbook site that appears to be very useful. Some of the options are different than the above site, but they also have the option of advertising pages in their book, the option of creating your own special pages (putting whatever you want on them - listing supporters who have donated to the Assembly in Gold, Silver and Bronze levels might be one idea) and other neat items (like nutritional guides, and cooking tips). Minimum order on this can be as little as 100 cookbooks. They also have "gift certificates" that people can buy, and advance sale coupons (basically a receipt). Nice touch.
The following are websites that I have chosen to "affiliate" with - meaning I get a few pennies off every dollar purchased from them, if the person buying had visited them from here at Rainbow.org. This, I hope, will help defray some of the costs of running Rainbow.org. I promise to ONLY link to sites that are useful to Rainbow in some way, be it fundraising supplies, decorations, stationery, or other such items, and I won't link to them unless I have checked the site out, purchased things from them, and find them to be satisfactory.
Oriental Trading Company
Oriental Trading Company has a huge selection of decorations, party goods, inexpensive gifts, prizes, and fundraising supplies (including glow-in-the-dark necklaces, etc). Girls in my Assembly bought items from OTC many times in the past (for use as decorations, carry-ins, party favors, dress-up items for skits, etc). I even relied on them again for my wedding (crocheted fans to decorate for napkin rings; toys and games for the babysitter's room).![]()
Colorful Images
Colorful Images has a great selection of paper products, from address labels to personalized pencils and stationery, as well as lots of other personalized items. The majority of these products would make great gift ideas for the incoming Worthy Advisor, Grand Officer, and others. They have some really pretty "rainbowy" address labels & business cards, too!![]()
Amazon.com
Amazon.com has the earth's biggest selection of books, music, and more. Shortly, I will have a list of books and other items I think may be of interest to those involved with Rainbow (fundraising, parliamentary procedure, and other ideas).
Do you know of a place (online or offline) where Rainbow Girls' items, rainbowy items, or fundraising items can be purchased? Please email me and give me all the info on it!
